About SudokuPuzzleHub

SudokuPuzzleHub is a free puzzle website. We build browser games that load fast, work on any phone or desktop, and never ask you to sign up, install an app or pay for anything.

Sudoku is where we started, but the site has grown into a collection of daily brain games. You can fill a classic 9×9 grid, hunt themed words in Strands, or crack a coded quote in Cryptogram, all in one place.

What you can play

We’re here to help people sharpen their minds, boost focus, and build stronger cognitive skills through daily puzzles and brain-friendly content. From classic Sudoku to modern challenges like Strands-style word games, our goal is to make mental fitness part of your everyday routine.

  • Classic Sudoku: four difficulty levels, from Easy to Expert. Pencil notes, hints, error highlighting, and a Relaxed mode with no time pressure. Each puzzle is generated fresh when the page loads, so you never see the same board twice.
  • Daily Sudoku: one shared puzzle for everyone each day, with streak tracking if you keep your run going.
  • Mini Sudoku: a 6×6 grid that plays faster than the classic game. Good for short breaks or for learning the rules.
  • Diagonal Sudoku: also known as X-Sudoku. The two main diagonals must contain the digits 1 to 9 as well, which changes how you solve the whole board.
  • Strands: a daily word hunt built around a hidden theme. Every word in the grid connects to one idea, and finding the spangram usually unlocks the rest.
  • Cryptogram: a famous quote encrypted with a letter substitution cipher. You decode it using logic and letter frequency, with hints when you need them.
  • Sudoku Solver: stuck on a puzzle from a newspaper or book? Enter it and get the solution.
  • Printable PDFs: sudoku sheets in A4 and US Letter, four or eight puzzles per page, with solution pages always included. No watermarks and no login.
  • A large-print edition for seniors: bigger numbers, higher contrast and larger tap targets, with the relaxed rules on by default.

The site also has strategy guides covering every major solving technique, and everything is available in 8 languages.

Our own generator builds each Sudoku board from scratch, then a verification step confirms it has exactly one solution. Difficulty comes from the clue count and the techniques a puzzle requires, not from guesswork. Our Medium puzzles, for example, sit in the 33 to 36 clue range, which most people can solve with intermediate techniques and a bit of patience.

Who runs the site

SudokuPuzzleHub is built and maintained by a small independent team of puzzle players. There is no company behind it and no investors. We write the puzzle generator, the guides and the games ourselves, and we improve them based on what players tell us through the feedback button and our Reddit community. If something on the site is wrong or broken, tell us and we will fix it.

Do puzzles actually help your brain?

Research points to benefits for memory, focus and problem-solving, though the evidence has limits and we prefer to be straight about that. We looked at the studies in Does Sudoku Make You Smarter? What Science Says. Our honest pitch is simpler: a good puzzle is a satisfying way to spend ten minutes, and it costs you nothing here.

Frequently asked questions

Is SudokuPuzzleHub really free?

Every game, guide and printable PDF on the site is free. Advertising covers our costs, and we sell no subscriptions, puzzle packs or accounts.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Nothing on the site requires signing up. Your progress, streaks and settings are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.

Are the puzzles guaranteed to be solvable?

Yes. Every Sudoku puzzle is checked by our generator before you see it and has exactly one solution. You will never get a board that needs guessing to finish.

What games can I play on SudokuPuzzleHub?

Classic Sudoku in four difficulties, a Daily Sudoku challenge, Mini 6×6 Sudoku, Diagonal Sudoku, Strands word hunts and Cryptogram quote puzzles. There is also a Sudoku solver for puzzles from books or newspapers.

What is the difference between Relaxed and Challenge mode?

Relaxed mode has no time pressure and no game over, so mistakes simply highlight and you keep playing. Challenge mode tracks your time and limits mistakes for players who want the pressure.

Can I print the puzzles?

Yes. Our downloads section has free Sudoku PDFs in A4 and US Letter, with four or eight puzzles per sheet. Solution pages are always included and there are no watermarks. Sudoku PDF download

Is there a version for seniors or players who need larger text?

Yes. The seniors edition uses extra-large numbers, high-contrast cells and bigger tap targets, with relaxed rules on by default. The main site also has text size and contrast settings.

How does the Daily Sudoku work?

Everyone in the world gets the same puzzle each day. Solve it to keep your streak going, which you can see next to the flame in the site header.

What languages is the site available in?

Eight languages. The language links are in the footer of every page.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Use the feedback button on any game page, or post in our Reddit community at r/SudokuPuzzleHub. We read both.
