About SudokuPuzzleHub
A free puzzle site run independently, with no account, no app and no paywall. Here is who makes it, how the puzzles are built, and how to reach us when something is wrong.
What the site is
SudokuPuzzleHub is a free puzzle website. We build browser games that load fast, work on any phone or desktop, and never ask you to sign up, install an app or pay for anything. Sudoku is where we started, but the site has grown into a collection of daily logic and word games, all in one place. Progress such as streaks and best times is kept in your own browser, not on our servers.
What you can play
The seniors edition of the classic game uses larger numbers, larger tap targets and Relaxed mode by default. The game interface is available in eight languages through the switcher in the footer.
How the puzzles are made
There is no stored bank of boards. When you open a page, a generator written for this site fills a blank grid, then removes clues one at a time. After every removal a solver runs again and confirms that exactly one solution still exists. If a removal would allow two solutions, the clue goes back. The board you see is therefore always solvable by logic alone, with no guessing required.
Difficulty is set by the number of clues left standing and by the techniques the solver needed, not by a label picked at random. Easy boards keep 40 or more clues and fall to singles alone. Medium keeps 33 to 39. Hard keeps 28 to 32 and needs pairs and pointing pairs. Expert keeps 23 to 27 and needs at least one pattern such as an X-Wing. The variant pages use the same approach: Killer Sudoku cages, Jigsaw regions and Nonogram clues are all checked for a single solution before they are shown.
The printable PDFs come from the same generator. Each sheet carries a one-line SudokuPuzzleHub credit at the foot of the page and nothing printed over the puzzles themselves. Solutions are included.
Who runs it
SudokuPuzzleHub is built and maintained by a small independent group of puzzle players. There is no company behind it and no outside funding. We write the generator, the games, the technique guides and the blog ourselves, and we change things based on what players tell us through the feedback button, the form on this page and the r/SudokuPuzzleHub community. If something on the site is wrong or broken, tell us and we will fix it.
Community
Players share puzzles, ask for help and talk strategy in r/SudokuPuzzleHub. The generator and site code live on GitHub. If you spot a mistake in a guide or a puzzle that looks wrong, either place works, or use the form below.
How the site stays free
Advertising covers hosting and development. Ads never affect which puzzle you get or how hard it is, and we sell no subscriptions, puzzle packs or accounts. We do not collect personal data to play; the privacy policy sets out what the ad and analytics scripts see.
Do puzzles help your brain?
Research points to benefits for memory, focus and problem-solving, and also to limits in that evidence, which we would rather be straight about. We went through the studies in Does Sudoku make you smarter?. The simpler case for the site is this: a good puzzle is a satisfying way to spend ten minutes, and here it costs nothing.
Report a problem or send a suggestion
A puzzle that looks wrong, a page that does not load, a mistake in a guide, or an idea for a game. Anything goes. The form stores your message anonymously with the time it was sent; we do not ask for a name or email. If you want a reply, write to [email protected] instead.
Thank you. Your message has been saved and we read every one.
