Print it, copy it, hand it out

Every PDF on this site is free for classrooms, libraries, care homes, clubs and families. This page says what you may do with them in plain words.

We built this site to be printed, not just clicked through. Every pack on the downloads pages, and every puzzle you export from the generator, carries the same free licence. You do not need to write to us or ask permission first. This page spells out what is fine, what we ask in return, and the small handful of things that are not allowed.

What you may do

Once you have downloaded a PDF, you can:

  • Print any number of copies, for as long as you like.
  • Photocopy a printed page instead of downloading again.
  • Hand copies out in a classroom, at a library puzzle programme, in a care home activity session or at a club meeting.
  • Put the PDF file itself on a school intranet, a library resource page or a newsletter, so other staff or members can reach it.
  • Share the link to the page you downloaded it from with anyone.

What we ask

Three things, all small:

  • Leave the small footer line on each printed page. It is one line of text and does not get in the way of solving.
  • If you list our PDFs on your own website, link to the page you took them from rather than re-hosting the file. Packs are updated from time to time, and the monthly one changes every month, so a link stays current while a saved copy does not.
  • Attribution beyond the footer line is welcome, a mention in a newsletter or a credit on a resource page, but it is not required.

What is not allowed

A short list:

  • Selling the PDFs, or selling the puzzles inside them, on their own.
  • Putting them behind a paywall or an email-capture gate before someone can download.
  • Removing the footer line and presenting the puzzles as your own work.
  • Bulk-scraping the on-demand generator to rebuild our library on another site.

Linking to us

If you want to point readers to our printable packs, this line works:

<a href="https://sudokupuzzlehub.com/sudoku-downloads/">Free printable Sudoku PDFs from SudokuPuzzleHub</a>

That exact wording is only a suggestion. Any wording is fine, as long as the link points back to a page on this site.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, any number of copies. Print or photocopy one master sheet and run off as many as your class needs, this year and every year after.

Yes, but linking to our page is the better choice. We update packs from time to time and the monthly pack changes every month, so a link always points to the current file while a re-hosted copy can go stale.

Yes. The fee you charge is for running your workshop or your care home's activity programme, not for the puzzles themselves. You just cannot sell the PDFs on their own, as a product in their own right.

No sign-up and no email address are required to download anything on this site. We only count total downloads in our own analytics, with nothing tied to a name or an account.
